Since 2019 he is a researcher at the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), in Padua, previously at the CNR Institute of Marine Sciences, in Venice. He deals, in marine/coastal and now geomorphological fields, with environmental data management and processing, Spatial Data Infrastructures, implementation of Decision Support Systems, standards and interoperability of research data. He is interested in various areas of open knowledge from geographic free and open source software to open science and participatory mapping.
