Teresa Cecchi

Teresa Cecchi holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, “cum laude” and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. She authored 2 books, 7 chapters in books and encyclopedias, 65 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact factor journals, 36 communications in national and international conferences concerning biocascading and food waste, bioplastics, microplastics, plastic waste and e-waste upcycling, food chemistry, nutraceuticals, flavours and antioxidants, green buildings and air quality, chromatography and retention modelling, the chemistry of interfaces, and forensic chemistry. She serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Liquid Chromatography and Related Techniques. She is a member of the Academy of Science and a member of the Directive Council of the Italian Chemical Society – Didactic Division. She is an active promoter of CLIL teaching, one of the best 50 teachers in Italy in 2017. She is committed to developing students’ talent and engagement with Sustainability competence through project-based Service Learning and research-oriented teaching. She is the organizer of edutainment activities and chemistry performances for prestigious Science Festivals to disseminate research results within a STEAM framework. She was the Italian Delegate at Science on Stage Europe, Prague, in 2022.
