5 - 6 December 2022

Discovering services for Open Science

Monday 5th December 2022 - 12.15 am - 1.00 pm

Chair: Paula Moura, OpenAIRE

The opportunities enabled by Open Science are being embraced in multiple ways, and by a growing range of diverse actors. This session aims to showcase a selection of them, including an alliance of ten European universities striving to become an open, multicultural confederation of knowledge by 2025 (EUTOPIA), an browser extension bringing Open Science within reach research stakeholders and citizens alike (Open Science Lens), and tools for tracking and indexing open research input and contributions (OpenAIRE – ORCID & DOI).

Use cases

  • How an alliance can facilitate FAIR and open research: the case of EUTOPIA, Lennard Stoy, University of Brussel / EUTOPIA Alliance. – Presentation
  • Open Science Lens: elevate web-browsing experience, bringing Open Science information to the browser, Giorgos Papanikos, University of Athens / Open Science Lens Product Manager. – Presentation
  • Explore – a tool for researchers: Evidencing your varied contributions using ORCID and DOIs via OpenAIRE, Cassandra Gould Van Praag, University of Oxford, Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN). – Presentation

There will be time for a Q&A.
